With the process of social development, the development of private colleges and universities has formed different forms, different training objectives, different tasks and levels of running schools and has taken great social responsibility, and has contributed to the popularization of education in China. How- ever, in the process of its development, private colleges and universities have encountered prob- lems, such as inaccurate positioning, insufficient funds and unreasonable teacher allocation. Through the analysis of the development status of private colleges and universities and the main problems existing in the development of private colleges and universities, this paper has put for- ward the approaches and suggestions for the development of private colleges and universities. In order to enrich and develop the existing development theory of private colleges and universities and improve the development of private colleges and universities, it also aims to promote the im- plementation of education practice and reform in the private institutions.
