AbstractIn Abstract In the middle of Ming Dynasty，the social political situation was in turmoil． Class contradictions，the internal contradictions of the ruling class and the national conflict became acute．Between Chenghua and Hongzhi dynasty，Liu Daxia considered the state affairs as his personal responsibility． He resorted to his military skills and political ability，and devoted himself into the history torrent of social changes． Liu Daxia。famous as“doing sol id work”。was a minister in Xiaozong period of the Ming Dynasty．Owing to hi s honest and upright、hardworking and sympathy，he was appreciated and promoted by the Emperor Xiaozong．Being an official for 40一odd year，Liu Daxia served as a local official for 28 years and accumulated plentiful experiences of being a local official． Liu was a genius both in civil and miIitary．He not only repeatedly established exploits to consolidate frontier defense but also made contribution to assisting his ruler in governing their country and domestic affairs．He exhausted himself in tiring job，faithful to the duties and cured the domestic affairs diligently．Meanwhile，he put forward many theoretic ideas and countermeasures，a lot of which had already n carried carried out．During the period of Hongzhi reign，the society was comparatiVely stability，the official rule was comparatively clear and bright，the border defense was comparatively quiet，thus the historical “the Hongzhi resurgence”appeared，i t was obvious that Liu Daxia had made great contribution．Liu Daxia infused some vital force and energy into the corrupt pol itical body of the middle of Ming Dynasty．He also maintained the stabilization of the political situation in the middle of Ming Dynasty and delayed the perdition of Ming Dynasty． The thesis mainly fall into three parts to probe into Liu Daxia．The first chapter：Introduce Liu Daxia S life and his family．The second chapter：Expound elaborately his official career，from which embody his administering ability and style． The t
