How to improve the seismic capacity of building structure has become a very important topic. in the framework, the stairwell as the evacuation route, emergency occurs, was the focus of seismic research, if they were damaged, the most likely cause casualties, also make the rescue work can not be carried out. For frame structure, as the staircase is relatively weak, the extent of damage is generally higher than other parts of the damage is more serious. Such a situation occurred in the Wenchuan earthquake. So the experience will be summed up and lessons will be learned, how to improve the seismic performance of stair in frame structure is very important. Code for seismic design of buildings (GB50011-2010) still use the two stages of the design process and seismic design concept of three levels.
