Among them, the related research on the teaching of intermediate and advanced vocabulary is rare. Choosing to apply multimodal theory to vocabulary teaching in the middle and advanced stages plays an important role in improving classroom teaching efficiency, improving the boring classroom atmosphere, and stimulating students interest in learning Chinese. This paper combines PS drawing technology to explore the vocabulary design principles, picture design methods, vocabulary teaching practice and multi-modal teaching advantages of HSK intermediate and advanced vocabulary. I hope to provide some reference for the application of multimodal teaching method in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.
