Abstract
This dissertation aim to comb and interpret Han Fei’s moral view, try to find the logical premise that to be a peaceful and ordered world is finally good for everyone. It analyze various aspects of moral theory involving in his moral view , and related historical experience. It also intends to provide a new viewpoint and approach for studying Han Fei’s view of morals, and at the same time, to supply some reference and thinking on re-understanding the relationship between Han Fei’s thoughts and modern civilization construction.
This dissertation is consisted of four parts:
The first chapter mainly illustrates the appearance and connotation of Tao and De. Simultaneously, traces the background of Han Fei’s moral view the economic, political, cultural and other aspects.
The second chapter from four aspects, moral origin, moral basis, essence of morality and moral cultivation, combs and interprets Han Fei’s moral view. It includes four parts. First, to explain the meaning and relationship of Tao and De. Second, to discuss the theory of inborn nature, which is like profit but hate harm, and its specific social practice. Third, to expound the basic ethical principles that fairness and justice, and other specific ethics requirements, for instance, benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and integrity. Forth, to find the method of the actual moral training.
The third chapter analyzes and discusses that Han Fei’s thoughts is or is not immoralist. There are two primary reasons that some people think Han Fei’s thoughts is immoralist. One the one hand, the theory of inborn nature is self-interest, and will lead to immoralist. One the onther hand, Han Fei denies the moral function. This chapter aims at the two primary reasons from three aspects to discuss. First, because of the different, the social environment is different. Second, to value force is not deny morals. Third, Han Fei aspires to a consummate society, which is moral. In a word, to reveal the logi
