Selenoprotein P was mainly synthesized by the liver and secreted into the peripheral blood, and then it transported selenium to a non-liver tissue which was used for the synthesis of other se lenoproteins; meanwhile, Sepp 1 also had antioxidant enzymes, which played an important role in protecting the body from oxidative damage. It is found that the polymorphism of Sepp 1 gene is closely related to the ex istence form, the functioning of Sepp 1 and the risk of falling ill. Therefore, deep understanding in the rela tionship between the polymorphism of Sepp 1 gene and the genesis, development and prognosis of the disease would play an important role in the first phase prevention and early diagnosis of the disease.
