The problems in acceleration noise testing outside vehicles are an alyzed. The difference of noise standard levels for themedium and heavy trucks and large buses between the developed countries and our country is pointed out. It is also indicated that China hasnot yet worked out the standard for interior noise and uniformspeed noise lmi its formotor vehicles. A lthough there are stationary noise lmi its and corresponding measurem ent methods in our country, they are rarely executed in actual annual inspection. F inally, in order thatChina becomes a powerful country for automobileman ufacture and export, theworkwe need to do in the aspect of noise control is suggested.
