The exper-i mental studies on the torsional behavior of two corew alls subjected to eccentric horizontal loadingw ere carried out. The torsional capacity, torsional stiffness, ductility of torsion angle, hysteretic behavior of torsionalmomen-t torsion angle, energy dissipation and failuremechanism of the core w alls are discussed. The test resu lts show that the tor- sional performance of the core w alls is mi proved greatly by the concealed steel truss.
