We should follow several basic principles in long sentence translation: clarify master-slave relations, make clear the logical relations of English long sentences, distinguish time order, segment the sentences into small groups, obey the logical principle of original text, and respect the culture of target language. On the basic of these principles above, it mainly discusses the following methods of long sentences translation by the examples of long sentences in Three Days to See: sequence, inversion, separation, insertion, combination, hoping it could be helpful for English learners to improve their abilities of English long sentence translation.
