1.Knowledge Objects.
(1) Function:
a. Talk about what you are allowed to do.
b. Agree and disagree.
(2) Key words: license, safety, smoke, part-time, pierce, earring, flash, be allowed to do sth. , no way, be worried about, get ears pierced, be excited about
(3)Target language:
a. –I don’t think sixteen-year olds should be allowed to drive.
---I agree. They aren’t serious enough.
b. ---Teenagers should not be allowed to have part-time jobs.
---I disagree. They can learn a lot from working.
c. Sixteen-year-olds should be allowed to take phone their ears pierced.
d. Do you think we may be allowed to take photos if we don’t use a flash?

2. Ability objects
(1)Enable students to talk about what they are allowed to do by using the structure of “should +be allowed to”.
(2)Learn to talk about the rules around the students and show “agree” or “disagree” .
(3)Train students’ listening and speaking skills with the target language.
3. Moral objects
Enable students to understand some strict rules they have to follow.
Teaching key points
1. Learn to talk about what they are allowed to do by using the structure of “should +be allowed to”.
2. Learn to talk about the rules around the students and show “agree” or “disagree”.

Enable students to understand the target language in spoken conversation and students’ listening ability and communication competence.
Teaching procedures
Step 1. Leading-in
1. Greet the class as usual.
2. Show a picture of Middle School Regulations and have a free talk with students.
T: As a teenager, we have a lot of rules at school. Can you follow them?
Step 2. Presentation
1.Show some pictures of school rules that a small of students sometimes break them and revise the phrases they have learnt in Grade 7.and use should or shouldn’t to make sentences.
2. Show some pictures in 1a and talk about
