Free talk. Questions: Do you like English? How long have you learned it? Are you good at it? What problems do you have when learning English? How do you deal with them? Does it work? How is your English now? Collect the answers. Ask one of them to give a short talk about his or her experience of English learning. Step 2. Read aloud. Show some sentences about learning English. Ask them to read aloud one by one. Make sure they understand each meaning. Read and some old sayings. Tell the students to use them if necessary while writing. Step 3. Make sentences. Show some complete sentences and read aloud. Ask them to write their own sentences with the words and expressions given. Check the answers. Step 4. Writing. Read the information given. Write their own writing on how to learn Chinese. The teacher offer help while walking around. Ask one of them to read his or her writing in class. Show the best writing. Step 5.
