The results showed that the two extracts both had inhibitory effects on the 4 kinds of bacteria 袁and the antibacterial activity of ethanol extracts were better than the water extracts. The two extracts showed no inhibition activity on fungal A spe rgillus niger 袁and their MIC was more than 2 mg/L. In summary 袁the extracts from seed pod of Paeonia ostii has antibacterial effect 袁and it has potential value in developed and application.
