New Concept 1 lesson 3 Hello, everyone. Today I’m very pleased to have an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas. I will talk about New concept 1 -lesson 3. My contents consist of 6 parts Part 1 The analysis of the teaching material: New concept 1 concludes 144 lessons, the odd number class for the text, even number class for grammar and practice. The whole book is based on odd number class. The main topic of lesson 3 is about How to change a positive sentence into negative sentences and interrogative sentence and the difference of polite expression, such as excuse me and sorry .Sir and Mr. Part 2 The analysis of the students The students English foundation is better .they are 11—13 years old and before learn new concept 1 they have already learnt a part of the grammar from their school text book , so they are easy to accept the knowledge in this lesson .and also with great passion in learning .because they just start to study this book .so they have great passion in learning. Part 3 Teaching methods: My teaching methods are task-based approach and situational approach .using different methods can make the class active. Part 4 Teaching aims and teaching demands There are knowledge and ability aims .knowledge aims are to enable the student to master the words: umbrella, here, number, ticket and the sentence pattern: -Is this your…? -No, it isn’t. This is not my.... Ability aims are to improve the students listening ,speaking ability by reading and practicing the dialogue. Part 5 Teaching procedure. Now I will talk about the most important part: teaching procedure. It consist of 6 steps .warming up .lead in .words and number teaching, text grammar teaching .At first I will speak a joke. second I will let the students review the last lesson and describe the picture in the book.(they can speak it in English and Chinese together) second listening the audio and finish word teaching.
