Ss can understand , read and write the phrases: dancing, singing, reading stories, playing football, doing kungfu.
Ss can speak and use the sentence structures:What are your hobbies? I like reading stories. I also like singing and doing kungfu.
Ability aims:
Ss can use the phases and the sentences in real situations correctly.
Emotion aims:
Educate Ss to express and communicate in English.

Step1: Warm up and Lead-in
Greetings and free talks.
Talk with ss about their weekend plans.
T: What are you going to do on the weekend ?
Ss: … .
T talks about his weenkend plans and lead in hobby.
I like V+ing . I also like V+ing .
T leads ss to read the word “hobby” and then make some sentences.
Step2: Presentation and Practice
T shows a picture of doing kung fu on the screen and asks ss to guess.And then listen to the tape and lead ss to read.
T: What is her hobby ?
Ss: She likes doing kung fu.
T leads ss to read the dialogue and then ask and answer.
Similar ways to teach other phrases.
T asks ss to do some dialogues.
Listen to the tape and read after it.
Game 1 : What’s missing ?
Game 2 : Listen to the music and pass the box, when the music ends, who get the box choose a phrase card from it , other ss clap their hands and ask “What are your hobbies ?”, and the student answers “ I like … ”
Step 3: Consolidation and Extension
1.Do a survey .
2.Let’s chant .
Homework
1.Talk with your partners about your hobbies after class.
2.Interview your parents about their hobbies and then give a report next class.
