On the basis of this methodological approach, w e figure out the importance of art localit and con- ceptualise the research scale of Art Geograph .Three dimensions, i.e.transverse localit , longitudi- nal localit and the diffusivit of art, are jointl anal sed in the paper. Firstl , it is claimed that “transverse localit ” of art has tw o sides, similarit and dissimilarit : same geographical space results in the similarit of art, w hile different geographical areas
