Task one Describe one of your challenging experiences and explain why it was challenging? Please include specific examples and details in your explanation. One of my challenging experiences was making preparations for a telephone interview by a professor from a top U.S. university. The experience was intimidating for some reasons, even though I survived the challenge. First, even if I was fully prepared in terms of subject content, I worried that I would be thrown off by some detail questions. Since the questions focused on modernist literature, details such as dates of birth and death of authors could be elusive. Second, I feared that the telephone system didn’t work well. If the professor couldn’t hear me, he would feel frustrated and disappointed. In that case, I would leave a very bad impression. Fortunately, neither of the scenarios happened. 2 Describe your favorite way to relax yourself and explain why you like it most. Please include specific examples and details in your explanation. My favorite way to relax myself is taking walks outdoors. I like walking for a few reasons. First, walking is a kind of easy exercise. I can do it almost any time. So when I feel stressful, I will go outdoors to walk for half an hour. Second, walking is causal and does not bring incidental stress like other types of exercise, for example, fast running, I just pause when I want to, and continue when I feel like doing so. Third, walking enables me to appreciate the seasonal changes. I usually walk on the banks of a river, and can appreciate the beauty of different seasons by observing the animals and plants on the banks and people in yachts on the river. 3 Describe what you miss most when you are away from home and explain why? Please include specific details in our explanation. I miss my parents most when I’ m away from home. I miss them because they are the most important people to me. They have been supporting me financially and emotionally, and acting as my role models. Also,
