Step1 Get students ready
Revise some new words
Read the Chinese nursery poem Yonge aloud then understand the rhyme and rhythm
The rhyme of Yonge: E Ge Shui Bo ABCB
The rhythm:
( The rhythm or the beat= Your voice become louder then softer while as you read )
Practice the following
Row row row your boat
Ride ride ride your bike
Drink drink drink your milk
Shut shut shut your mouth
Beat beat beat your drum
Read and listen to the poem A
Hush, little baby, don’t say a word,
Papa’s going to buy you a mockingbird.
If that mockingbird won’t sing,
Papa’s going to buy you a diamond ring.
If that diamond ring turns to brass,
Papa’s going to buy you a looking-glass.
If that looking-glass gets broke,
Papa’s going to buy you a billy-goat.
