Unit 6 I’m watching TV 说课稿 胜利乡东方红中学 贾晶 Good morning, everyone, I’m very pleased to have such an opportunity to share some of my teaching ideas with you. My name is Jia Jing, and I am working as an English teacher in Dong fanghong Middle School. My topic today is taken from section A(1a— 1c)of Unit 6 in Book 2, Go for it. I have decided to say the lesson from Part One —— Analysis of the Teaching Material One: Status and Function This unit is mainly describing people’s activities. Let the students talk about what people are doing now. The topic is related to the grammar “present progressive tense”. This grammar is very important for the students in junior school. The content of this unit is closely related to students’ daily life, so it’s easy to encourage them to communicate with others by using what they have learned in this class. Two: Teaching Aims 1. Knowledge objects (1) To study the new words “using”, “dancing”, “washing” and so on. (2) To learn and master the sentence patterns: What are you doing? I am watching TV 2. Ability objects (1) To train the students’ ability of working in pairs. (2) To develop the students’ abilities of communication by learning the useful structures. 3. Emotional objects (1) Through different teaching methods to make students be interested in study. (2) Dare to express their opinions in English using what they have learned. Three: Teaching Keys and Difficult Points 1. Key points: (1)Learn and master several present participles. (2)Ask and answer by using Present Progressive Tense. 2. Difficult points: (1)The usage of the Present Progressive Tense. (2) The correct spelling of the present participles. Part Two ——The analysis of the students The students have learned English for about one semester so far. They can understand some words and some simple sentences.
