College of Electric Power, South China University of Technology, Guangzhou Guangdong 510640, China) Abstract: A controller based on the passivity theory is presented for matrix converter(MC) which is inﬂuenced by the load on the output. The MC is transformed to a virtual AC-DC-AC converter, and a model is established in frame and the controller is designed to eliminate the inﬂuence of inner and outer disturbance and to realize the fast accurate tracking of output current. Simulation results demonstrate the desirable dynamic performance and strong robustness to the input and output disturbance.
