能正确地运用过去时描述小的意外事件,并能针对事件写请假条。
能读懂有关校园意外事件的文章。
能针对意外事故提出自己的建议,表示自己的关心,能用英语书面表达写出以上内容。
过程与方法
1培养学生根据时态的需要,在请假条中交错使用过去时和一般现在时的能力。
2.培养学生借助图片,理解文章。
情感与态度
通过学习,告诫学生要健康运动,保护自己的健康。同时要学会关心他人,在意外事故发生时,要积极帮助,及时解决问题。

教 学 内 容
Step 1 Pre-reading
Learn some new words and phrases in this section according to some pictures.
pills (2)call a taxi (3) X-ray
(4) a serious traffic accident (5)fall down (6) skateboard
Step 2 While-reading
1.Read 1a quickly,and find out the answer to the question:Michael is lying in bed.What happened to him?
2.Read again and put the pictures in order.Then check the answers.
3.Wach the flash ,then read 1a again and do 1b.Before doing it ,go through the phrases in 1b. Then check the answers.
Step 3 After-reading
Ss read it by themselves,and find out difficult points.The teacher explains them.
Retell the passage with the help of the phrases in 1b and pictures.(If there is no time ,do this in the next class)
Step 4 Practice
1.T:Michael has to stay at home after the accident.And he need to ask for leave to his teacher. How many days would he like to ask for leave? Read quickly and answer it,help Michael tocomplete the note,remind Ss to pay attention to its form.
Do 1d. Give your own advice to Michael using should(not)/had better(not).Then rewrite the sentences.
Homework:1.Read 1a at least three times.
