To start students thinking about different places in the world. 重点 To introduce well-known attractions in foreign cities and popular places of interes 难点 To activate general knowledge about the world and identify activities which people do on holiday 教法及教具 Recorder and pictures. 教 学 过 程 教 学 内 容 个案调整 教师主导活动 学生主体活动 Content: Comic strip Step1. Ask Ss to listen to the tape and read after tape. And then tell Ss to read the comic strip, and ask some questions to check understanding, e.g., Is Eddie happy in the first picture? Why? (Yes. He is going on a trip.) Does Hobo want to go too?(Yes.) How does he feel?(He’s very excited) Why is Eddie unhappy in the last picture?(He has to carry a heavy bag.) Step2. Ask Ss to talk about what people should take when they go on holiday in groups. Tell them to write the items on the blackboard if they have any ideas. Step3. Ask Ss to read with partner and try to perform Hobo and Eddie according to the comic strip. Then ask three or four pairs to perform this conversation before the class. Step4. Pay attention to some useful expressions: ①???? join sb.=go… with sb. ②???? Let sb do sth: Let me have a look. ③???? ‘take’ and ‘bring’ ④ I have been there before . Content: Welcome to the unit Step 1 :Leading – in I show some pictures which were taken when I travelled once. Then I ask the students :Where was I? Do you like travelling? Then I say today we will talk about travelling, the tourist attractions in the world. Step 2 Presentation The teachers say: Have you ever been to any places in your holidays? where did you go? Do you know any famous places of interest? Let
