A general means of state of polarization measurement using polarizer and quarter wave plate (QWP) was given, and basedon this te hnology new formulas whi h an both meet the requirement of high-speed and rea-l time state of polarization measurement are brought out. To validate the feasibility and stability of the new theory, a parti ular proj e t of experiment is made. The experimental system an perform over 700 polarization measurements per se ond, the results show that, measuring speed is mainly determined by the performan e of the ele troni parts and thus the measuring speed an be greatly a elerated by improving ele troni parts of the system, the result is also proved to be redible and stable, and the method is useful.
