Design Parameters of Air Conditioning Unit on Passenger Car
1 General Principles
1.1. This standard specifies main design parameters and basic requirements of air conditioning unit on railway passenger cars.
For air-conditioning vehicles for special applications (e.g. generator cars, official cars, test cars and so on), when some items in this standard cannot meet their special requirements, it shall be specified otherwise in the design specification or agreement.
1.2. In addition to this standard, design of air conditioning unit on railway passenger cars should also correspond to current professional standards related to passenger car.
2. General Rules
2.1. The following sanitary conditions should be satisfied by air conditioning unit on passenger cars.
a. Volume concentration of carbon dioxide in the air of passenger compartment should be less than 0.15%.
b. Dust content in the air of passenger compartment should be not more than 1mg/m3.
c. In the passenger compartment, positive pressure should be kept in the range of 9.8 to 29.4 Pa (1~3 mm water column) (Doors and windows are closed, and the imprecise place of gaps and holes should be without artificial block).
2.2. The capability of refrigeration, heating, and ventilating for the air conditioning unit can be adjusted and controlled. Capability of each level can be converted by means of automatic and manual control.
2.3. Insulation materials which are perishable, easy to bore and flammable should not be used for insulation layers of ventilation pipes.
3. Main Design Parameters
3. 1. For air-conditioned passenger cars running on main lines in south of Beijing, calculated parameters for outside air should be:
