Cooperation with other libraries与其他图书馆的合作 Team 6 GROUP 6LEE MinkyungRosnaniChen JinglanChen MeishenZhao YajuanWang Ju Question:What sorts of cooperative and/or collaborative sorts of programs will you pursue Contents 1、采购 (Acquisition) -- Potential barriers: *lobbying other libraries to join us (Institutional readiness) We will make a project scheme, which includes the background, goal, and benefits to attract every institute to take part in. *The way how we joint (Ownership challenges) The institutes own the resources that they pay for, and other institutes can use them *Organizer selecting and keep the collaboration be a long-term program (implementation challenges) To establish a committee to deal with the whole collaborative work, make the detailed plan, divide the work among members *Who provide the fund to cover the expenditure of the committee (Funding) The committee members discuss the ration of the fund afforded by individual partner. 1、采购 (Acquisition) -- Condition demand : * All institutes have the common interest and are willing to take part in collaboration * A committee is required to handle the collaboration process. * The plan should be valid to all institutes culture background. 1、采购 (Acquisition) -- Cooperative program : * Figure out an attractive project with all institutes involved. * Establish a committee * Planning, a set of sub-goals toward the final goal * Evaluate periodically and refine the plan, pushing further collaboration 2、人员(Staff) Librarian training -situation :We would not be able to hire any new staff -obstacle : distance, time (all staff are busy) -Solution : joint staff training development Joint information literacy sharing/exchange of staff 3、服务 Service Interlibrary-loaning and document delivery project Dependent on the background situation of the Union and assisting the acquisition project.
