When he is young Yang Zhenning was born on September 22, 1922, in Hefei , Anhui , China , his father Yang Ko-Chuen ( traditional Chinese : 楊武之 ) (1896–1973) was a mathematician and his mother Luo Meng-hua (羅孟華) was a housewife. Chen Ning Yang and Tsung-Dao Lee  Both of them received his college education at the National Southwest Associated University in Kunming, China. In 1957, Yang won and shared the Nobel Prize in Physics with Lee Tsung-dao for their penetrating investigation of the so-called parity laws, which has led to important discoveries regarding the elementary particles.
