三The teaching steps:
Step 1: Organization
1 Greeting
2 Free talks:
T: What date is it today? What day is it today?
3 The present:
(1)T: At the beginning of the class, I’d like to give you a present. Would you like a present?
(2) Teacher shows the present: I wish you a Merry Christmas
(3) T: I like this song very much, and I think it talks about the holiday. What holiday is it?
Step 2: Presentation
1 T: It’s Christmas Day. Do you know any other holidays? Let’s guess some riddles.
Ask and answer:
T: What holiday is it?
T: When’s …?
T: What do people usually do on/in/at … ?
3 Pairwork and action:
4 Talk about the favourite holiday:
T: Do you like National Day? I like National Day very much, it’s my favourite holiday.
The model:

T: You can write it on your paper. I will give two minutes and then please say something about your favourite holiday.
