The translation between English and Chinese implied the differences between the two languages and the way of thinking. In order to better respect the original, faithful original, both English and Chinese translation should pay attention to language and cultural factors, but also the use of appropriate translation strategies, so that the perfect combination of the original and the translation, and thus promote cross-cultural exchanges. This paper explores several important factors that affect the translation of English and Chinese from a cross - cultural perspective, and on this basis, the study of English - Chinese translation strategies is discussed in order to play a certain role in the translation of English and Chinese under the cultural differences between China and the West.
