Fangxian rice wine is rooted in Fangxian County which is located in northwest of Hubei Province. With the raw material of the local glutinous rice and the natural spring water, it takes the family as the main production mode and the double entry starter fermentation . These characteristics determine the distinctive and unique form of Fangxian rice wine culture, the strong imperial culture complex exists in local peoples psychology. Fangxian rice wine culture s deep connotation is the inside spiritual core of the confucian and taoist coexistence. Fangxian rice wine culture has some kind of evolutions of Central Plains Culture and Han River Culture, and forms its own unique cultural style. As a part of Chinese traditional culture, the richness and the specificity of its connotations are obvious, Fangxian rice wine culture is one of China `s valuable cultural heritages. To research and expand Fangxian rice wine culture will certainly contribute to the development of local cultural undertakings, Fangxian rice wine will become the local characteristic industry to promote the development of local tourist industry, Fangxian rice wine’s market, and the local economic construction, eventually inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional culture of China.
