Overall: Our primary focus for the previous week was to compete the overview training sessions and continue design of the financial, distribution and assembly systems.
Issues
We are attempting to initiate account manager coordination through QAD. Our account representative tentatively will be Glenn Carlson. Our expectation is that QAD will participate according to the roles and responsibilities outlined in the project kick-off. Hands-on coordination will begin the week after next.
Per our last meeting, project team leaders need to assume responsibility for identifying overall implementation benefits to incorporate into the MFG/PRO design.
We have scheduled Largotim for one day this week for design activity. We will be reviewing these at the weekly status meeting on December 4, 1995. Largotim is scheduled for three days the following week. We need to work with the team leaders to determine if additional classroom training is necessary.
We are in the process of scheduling the dates for the financial pilot. The preferred dates for these sessions are December 21 to pilot AR, AP and GL processing and January 5 to pilot month-end close, financial reporting and to wrap up any open issues from the first pilot. We need to identify the dates for the distribution and assembly pilots also.
The new MIS person will be starting this week. We need to draft a training and orientation plan to bring him up to speed on the steps we have taken so far and the approach we are following to design the system.
In order to ensure that we are effectively tracking the budget for the project, we need to collect and enter time from all project team leaders and team members.
We still do not have printing capabilities through the war room network. We need to schedule MBS to come out and address this issue.
