范度森植物园游客中心 设计单位：Perkins+Will 建筑事务所 位置：加拿大温哥华 竣工：2011年 分类：建筑实景照片- 公共设施 场地面积：17000平方米 建筑面积：1765平方米 这是由Perkins+Will 建筑事务所设计的范度森植物园游客 中心项目，这个项目需要满足最苛刻的可持续要求，即 Livi ng Building Challenge。形式上和功能上它都要包含生态 及社会意识的设计。建筑其实就是一个起伏的景观，包含交 织的从地上升起到屋顶的室内室外空间，这些结构为种植多 种植物提供巨大空间，建筑■景观在此交融。建筑同时包含 多种被动及主动的能源系统，它们重新利用场地的可回收资 源和建筑自身排放的垃圾。这个建筑的形式是建筑■景观之 间的平衡，它包含起伏的绿色屋顶，它们漂浮在堆砌的土堆 和混凝土墙壁上，这些设计元素受到当地果园形象的启发。 屋顶和首层板面通过种植着植物的斜坡连接，这是一个自然 生长的绿色屋顶。建筑充当植物园的社区中心， 包含咖啡厅， 图书馆，志愿者设施，花园商店，办公室，还有供会议，工 作室，讲座及一些私人功能所用的教室。 Perkins+Will S VanDusen Botanical Garden Visitor Centre in Vancouver , BC is designed to meet th e Living Building Challenge , the most rigorous se t of requirements of sustainability. Formally and f unctionally , it encompasses the goals of environm entally and socially conscious design. The building is an undulating landscape of interior and exteri or spaces rising from ground to roof level and pro viding a vast surface area on which vegetation co uld grow , thus reoccupying the land on which th e building sits with the landscape. The building al so features numerous passive and active systems that reuse the site renewable resources and the building s own waste. The form of the Visitor Ce ntre finds a balance between architecture and lan dscape - composed of “ undulating green roof etals that float above rammed earth and concret e walls ； inspired by a native orchid. The roof an d ground plane are connected by ramps that pro mote vegetation - a self-made green roof. The bui lding functions as a community oriented center fo r the Botanical Garden; it has a cafe , library , v olunteer facilities , garden shop , offices , and cl assroom space for meetings , workshops , lecture s and private functions.
