It mainly talks about a topic that the grandfather gives his grandson some advice on how to give up smoking. The type of this class is an extensive reading class, which plays an important part in developing students’ reading ability. So, during the teaching process, the teacher should focus on developing the students’ reading ability by extensive reading, and let them to learn some reading skills such as skimming, scanning and so on. Moreover, let them know more about how people can keep physically healthy. 2. Analysis of the students Most of my students are poor in English; They show little interest in learning English. Most of them are lack of vocabulary and confidence. As the topic of smoking is very close to our daily life, my students must have a knowledge of it. They are senior grade two with a low level vocabulary and low level of text understanding. So, during the teaching process, the teacher should focus on how to arouse their interest in English. Moreover, the teacher should teach them the proper ways to learn English and encourage them to learn English well. 3.
