Unit 7.Is this an orange? Good morning(afternoon), everyone, My name is …, I come from I’m very glad to stand here to present my lesson for you. Today I’m going to talk about Part A and Part B of Unit 7, Primary School English, Book 3. The topic is “ Is this an orange? ” Unit7. Is this an orange? This lesson is the first period of Unit7. It focuses on the topic of talking about fruit. It has a good command of later learning. So it plays an important role in this unit. Now, I will explain the lesson from the following five parts. Part 1. Teaching aims. The first one is language knowledge. By the end of this lesson, the students should be able to read, recognize and use these words: apple, banana, pear, lemon and orange. Also, they will understand the words “classroom, market” and these sentences: Is this an orange? Is this a pear? Yes, it is. No, it isn’t. The second one is language skills. In this lesson, the ability aims include the following: To develop students’ abilities of listening, speaking and reading. Train the students’ ability of working in groups. The third one is emotional aim. The emotional aim in this lesson is to foster the students’ awareness o cooperation and eating more fruit to keep healthy. Part 2. The key and di icult points. The key points of this lesson are as follows: To make sure that the students can read out the common fruit names correctly and use them freely. To use “Is this a/an …?” to make conversations skillfully. As for the di icult points, I think it ’s di icult for students to ask and answer correctly. Besides, the usage o “a” and “an” is also di icult for the students to master. Next, I will talk about the teaching methods that I will use in this lesson. Part3. Teaching methods.
