D) sorting operation, performed to sort wagons assembled on lead track into trainsets in accordance with Freight Train Formation Diagram or Technical Code for Railway Management and Operation. E) departure operation, the combination of all technical operations carried out for departure train at departure yard or arrival and departure yard;;Different stations are equipped with different yards, resulting in different technical operations performed for transit wagons with resorting as well as different running routes. At stations where arrival yard or arrival and departure yard and shunting yard are arranged transversely, transit wagons with resorting have lots of switchback and turning-back runs, and at stations where those are arranged longitudinally, apart from against hump wagon flow and angular wagon flow, transit wagon with resorting shall move forward to ensure smoothness of various technical operations and the shortest running routes.
