Revision for the Attributive Clause
主讲:
一、Teaching analysis
本课时的重点是语法:定语从句。学生在Book 5 Module 1011已经对定语从句有了基本的了解,但实际运用能力较差。所以本节课要做遵循学生的认知规律,难度适中,循序渐进的进行语法的教学及复习。为了加深学生对定语从句的理解,本课通过贴近生活实际的话题(sportsman spirit)学习,利用竞赛的方式,引起学生的胜负欲,尽可能多地为学生创造在真实语境中运用语言的机会。另外,为了顺应中考要求,本课也设计了一些中考题目及学生易错的题目。
二、Teaching aims
1. knowledge objectives: By the end of the class, students will master the attributive clause and understand the keys of attributive clause(antecedent, relative, clause).
2. Ability objectives: Students will be able to say or write some sentences with attributive clause corretly, and they are expected to practice and reinfore their ability of solving problems in the exam.
3. Emotional objectives: Students will know more about some sportsmen and the spirit of Chinese women’s volleyball team which can raise students’ interest to learn and enable them to fight for themselves.
三、Difficult points and important points
Difficult points: students are expected to say or write some sentences with attributive clause corretly.
Important points: To help students learn the keys of attributive clause(antecedent, relative, clause) and get some skills of solving such problems.
四、Teaching procedures
Part 1 Let’s enjoy.
1. Enjoy a song and pay attention to some sentences.
She is the one that you never forget
She is the heaven-sent angel you met
She must be the reason why God made a girl
She is so pretty all over the world
Part 2 Let’s review.
1. Guess who they are according to the pictures or sentences given, observe and review the attributive clause(definition, antecedent, relative pronoun).
2. Complete the mind map of attributive clause.
3. Have a try: make up sentences with the attributive clause.
Part 3 Let’s learn more.
1. Read more sentences with attributive clause(relative adverb), observe and say how to use them.
2. Complete the mind map of attribute clause.
3. Have a try: complete sentences with when, where and why.
4. Talk about how to analyze a sentence with attributive clause.
