Teaching Plan for Blackbeard’s Last Stand

Target students: Class 13 Senior1 of Fujian Youxi No.1 Middle School
Teaching Objectives
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
1. appreciate the story by analyzing characters and plots of the story,
2. understand the plot and characters through the mind map,
3. generate the theme based on their own understanding,
4. develop their language thinking ability-logical thinking, critical thinking creative thinking.
5. grow more interested in the literature-reading.
Teaching Focus
Students’ unique experience and personalized understanding of the literature.

Independent reading; personalized reading; task-based learning question-based learning.

The students are asked to give presentations for the given tasks. (Some tasks given when independent reading before this lesson and others given during the lesson)
