Step Ⅱ 1a Before class make slides showing hot,cold,cool,warm and humid from the Internet ,magazines or newspapers. Now turn on “My Computer”,left click Flash H Show the slides in turn,teach students to practice the words hot ,cold,cool,warm and humid. Write the words on the blackboard.Show the pictures to the students.Point to the words randomly.Each time he or she finds a picture to go with a word,he or she has to say the word. Call students ’ attention to the pictures in the book.Ask students to tell what the weather is like in each picture using the words learned just now.For example,for Picture a,a student may say,it ’s cold.Point out the numbered list of words in the box.Invite a student to read them aloud to the class. Say,please match the words with the pictures.Write the letter of each picture in front of the word it goes with.Point out the sample answers. Students finish the task individually. Check the answers.
