Unit 4 Don’t eat in class. (Section A 1a-2d) Teaching plan
一、教学目标:
1. 语言知识目标:
1) 能掌握以下单词:rules, arrive, hall, dining hall , listen, listen to, fight, on time, outside, wear, important, bring, quiet
2) 掌握和运用谈论校规的句型:
Don’t arrive late for class.
You must be on time.
We can’t arrive late for class.
2. 熟练使用目标语言谈论某些规章制度(校规、家规等)并表明自己的看法
3. 情感态度价值观目标:
能用英语表达和制定一些简单的规则,理解没有规矩不成方圆;无论是在学校时还是在家庭中以及以后走上社会都应当遵守规则,按规则办事。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点:
1). 正确使用常见的短语,如:arrive late for…,be on time等。
2). 学习运用祈使句的否定形式表达“禁止”,情态动词can(can’t)表达“许可”以及must表达“义务”的句型。
2. 教学难点:
掌握祈使句的用法,并能听懂、会说一些简单的祈使句。
三、教学过程
Ⅰ. Warming-up
Greet the students.
Play a game called “Yes, I can!”
Teacher says a sentence, if students can do the thing, he/she should stand up and say “ Yes, I can!”.
Sentences like 1. Can you sing? …7. Can you eat 2 hamburgers?
Ⅱ. Presentation
Then ask students questions based on the game.
“Can you eat in class?” so as to teach the new words and phrases.
1. Don’t eat in the classroom. You must eat in the dining hall.
2. Don’t run in the hallways.
3. Don’t listen to music in class.
4. Don’t arrive late for class. You must be on time.
5. Don’t fight.
Ⅲ. 1a1b
After reading the school rules, students write the number of the rule next to the student.
Students listen to the tape, then write the numbers after the names.
Ⅳ. Group PK----X-factor
Round 1: use Don’t to make sentences one by one.
One student from each group stands up, then use Don’t to make sentences.
Only one sentence each time. The group that speaks out the most sentences is the winner.
Ⅴ Listening
1. Work on 2a:
Students read the rules together.
Listen and check the activities Alan and Cindy talk about.
Ss listen to the recording and check the activities they hear.
Check the answers
2. Work on 2b:
Listen to the recording again. Can Alan and Cindy do these activities? Circle can or cant above.Check the answers.
Read the conversation in pairs, try to find out the sentences that have the same meaning.(找同义句)
