Punishments include deducting some wages, transferring the teacher to a remote and low socio-economic condition school. Sometimes this kind of behavior is illegal and the decision is controlled by the school district or county government. 教学质量好的教师也会增加调动到交通便利、学校条件好学校的必要条件之一。 On the other hand, the probability of a good teacher to be transferred to a high socio-economic status school is increased. I measure the effect of whether or not the school uses punishment to incentivize teachers.;7.教师考核的职称评定激励 Rank Assessment Incentive;当地政府给定的中高级职称名额有限,导致年年达到中高级职称评定的人数往往超过给定指标数,评定过程更加激烈。 The quota for highest rank teachers is determined by the county government and is limited for each school or each school district. This makes the rank assessment more competitive because more teachers have reached the basic requirements. 学校确定上报中高级职称教师人员时首先选择满足基本条件的人员,然后计算每个教师总成绩。基本条件主要包括过去几年年终考核成绩、当年教学成绩、
