Methods A total of 130 patients with lumbar multi-segment degenerative diseases who were admitted to our hospital from January 2010 to January 2015 were selected. They were randomly assigned to the control group and the research group， with 65 patients in each group. The control group was given regular treatment and diagnosis， and the research group was given discography for the diagnosis and treatment. The curative results were compared between the two groups. Results In terms of the curative results in the two groups， VSA scores and ODI scores in the research group were both significantly better than those in the control group， and the differences were statistically significant （P）. In terms of the complications in the two groups， the research group was significantly lower than the control group， and the differences were statistically significant （P）. Conclusion The application effects of discography in the diagnosis and treatment of lumbar multi-segment degenerative diseases are ideal， which is beneficial to improving patients prognosis and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
