Task
Ⅰ. Teaching aims and learning objectives
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1. talk about their favourite sports and heroes;
2. sum up the structure of the passage in the textbook;
3. write an article about their favourite sports and heroes;
4. assess their articles from the given aspects.
Ⅱ. Teaching contents
1.New words and phrases:team, talk bout, match, hero
2.New structures: I often play basketball with my friends after school.
We often talk about basketball and watch basketball matches on TV.

1. Sum up the writing structure;
2. Write an article about the favourite sports and hero.

Step 1 Lead-in
1. Talk about some famous players.
T: Today we’ll learn task of Unit 2—I love sports. Watch a video of famous players.
2. Make up a dialogue.
Talk about your favourite sport and player.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Read and complete.
T: Read the passage and complete the table.
2. Read and match.
T: Read the article again and match the question with each paragraph.
3. Show the structure of the text.
T: According to the content of the passage, we can divide it into three parts: introduction, main body and conclusion.
4.Useful expressions:

5. Sum up.
