过去进行时;一、定义 过去进行时表示在过去某一时刻或某一段时间内进行或发生的动作，不一定已完成。其形式为was /were + V-ing。 ;二、过去进行时的用法 1.表示过去某一时间（正在）进行的动作。 I was watching TV at 7 last night. I was sleeping when it started to rain. *2.表示过去某一阶段正在进行的或暂时性的动作。 At that time,I was working in Sydney. 3.表示一动作正在进行时，另一动作同时突然发生。　　(1)用while连接（while只接doing,用延续性动词）　　(2）when表示（when可以接doing或did，动词可以是延续性的也可是短暂性的，when后动作时间长，用doing，时间短，用did） I was watching TV when someone knocked at the door.
