Lesson plan of The Steamboat Li Shuzheng Teaching Objectives: Ability aims: Students will be able to use different reading skills(e.g. prediction, skimming,scanning, et.) to read different reading materials for different reading purposes. Students will be able to retell the whole story. Knowledge Aims: Students will master some useful phrases and words, such as : pour down, tied up with, die of fright. et. Emotional Aims: Students will speak confidently in public; know the importance of friendship. Teaching Important Points: Students can use different reading skills(e.g. prediction, skimming, scanning, et.) Teaching Difficult Points: Most students can speak in English in class. Teaching Aids : Blackboard, ppt Teaching Procedures: Step1.Leading-in Asking some questions. Do you like reading? What’s your favorite book? What kind of book do you like? Why? What do you know about Chinese literature? Step2.Pre-reading: Warming up by learning more about some new words Look at the picture.
