Methods 140 cases of patients with acute otitis media suppurativa admitted and treated in our hospital from November 2013 to October 2015 were conveniently selected and randomly divided into two groups with 70 cases in each， the observation group adopted the % ofloxacin otic solution on the basis of the general medication， while the control group adopted the % chloramphenicol otic solution for twice per day， both groups were treated for seven days， and the curative effect was evaluated according to the changes of clinical body signs and symptoms. Results The total effective in the observation group was higher than that in the control group（% vs %），（P）， and the onset time and average treatment day in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group， [（±）， （±）d vs （±），（±）d]（P）， and the difference in the incidence rate of adverse reactions between the observation group and the control group was statistically significant（% vs %）（P）.
