Methods A total of 24 patients receiving knee joint operation were randomly divided into group C and group L， with 12 cases in each group. Group C received normal saline injection in knee joint， while group L received levobupivacaine injection in knee joint. Expression levels of interleukin-1beta; after treatment were observed in both groups. Results Group L had much higher interleukin-1beta; level than group C in the first day [（plusmn;）pg/ml VS （plusmn;）pg/ml] （P）， while there was no statistically significant difference of interleukin-1beta; levels between the two groups in the second day （P）. In the tenth day， group L had obviously lower interleukin-1beta; level than group C [（plusmn;）pg/ml VS （plusmn;）pg/ml] （P）.
