【教学设计】 Step 1 Brainstorming Step 2 Fast Reading Step 3 Careful Reading Step 4 Discussion Step 5 Appreciating the text Step 6 Homework 具体教学步骤如下: Step 1 Brainsorming Teacher:Today is a new sunny day. Every new day should start with a good breakfast to give us energy. So what did you have for today’s breakfast? Then the teacher will share her own breakfast with students. Then draw a conclusion that all of us are lucky because we have enough food to eat. Then show a picture to students and ask them to describe it to us to show that there are many people in the world suffering from hunger. But some pioneers are trying their best to fight against hunger, for instance, Yuan Longping. The purpose of this step is to arouse students’ interest in the topic of agriculture. Step 2 Fast Reading Ask students to read the passage quickly to match the main idea with each paragraph. The purpose is to help students to get a basic understanding of the text and make preparation for the careful reading. Step 3 Careful Reading Ask students to read the passage carefully and answer the six questions for each paragraph. 1. Why did YLP consider himself a farmer? 2. Why did YLP choose to study agriculture? 3. How did YLP tackle this crisis? 4. What was the influence of his work? 5. What was his view of life? 6. What is his latest vision? Step 4: Discussion Show students some pictures and numbers to show how serious world hunger is. Then suppose they are attending a UN conference to give measures how to end starvation. Work in groups and discuss with partners. The purpose of this step to consolidate their knowledge. Step 5: Appreciating the text Show students the writing techniques to describe a person, for instance, descriptive words, contrast and passive voice, and then give students examples. Step 6. Homework Ask students to write one of their favorite scientists by using the above techniques. 【学情分析】 我校学生英语基础较薄弱,水平差异较大,因此教学设计要由浅入深,由易到难,练习题及讨论环节要结合学生的真实水平,充分体现阶梯性,让学生在树立自信心的同时又可以面临一
