This passage is taken from Unit 3, Book 5, New Senior English for China Students. This unit introduces the students to what life in the future might be like. The listening passage consists of an interview, which introduces the usefulness of inventions and how they work. This lesson is a listening and speaking lesson, the fourth period of the Unit. After learning this listening passage, students should be able to introduce a new invention from different aspects (such as, advantage and limitation.). Besides, they are also encouraged to make an interview by finding out their partners by using some key words and phrases. At last, students are supposed to be interested in new inventions and should also understand that science will be more important in our lives in the future as we use it to improve our life still further.

the students
The students in my class are at medium level, who are active and motivated. They have great interest in inventions. So, this listening passage will appeal to their interest. But it may be a little different for them to pronounce key words accurately.
