Objectives: 1. Knowledge Objectives: 1) Students can understand the texts. 2) Students can understand these words: picnic, family, beach. 3) Students can say the sentences: We’re having a picnic. Sb. be doing sth. 2. Ability Objectives: 1) Pronounce the key words correctly. 2) Understand formulaic expressions describing one’s on-going actions, ie My mother is eating, My father is flying a kite. My grandma is sleeping. I am drawing a picture. 3. Emotion Objectives: Learn to communicate with other people and be happy to take part in the role-play. V. Focal Points and Difficulties: 1. Focal points: 1) Using the key words the students have learned in the context, ie picnic, family, beach. 2) Using the key words in the context. 3) Using formulaic expressions they have learn to describe ongoing actions, ie My mother is eating, My father is flying a kite. My grandma is sleeping. I am drawing a picture. 4) Asking questions to find out somebody’s ongoing actions, ie What is he/she doing? What are they doing? 2. Difficulties: Most of the students should be able to say the sentences: “We’re having a picnic.” in the real situation. VI. Teaching Method: Task-based teaching method, Audio-visual method. VII.
