Although each automotive company has its own focus on the electric vehicle development stage, their project development thinking and approach are very similar. As shown in Figure 15-1, the vehicle development process includes the entire process from project initiation to Standard Operation Procedure (SOP), which is divided into six stages: market positioning stage, project initiation stage, scheme and styling stage, detailed design stage, product validation stage and mass production preparation stage.
