第二部分 重要语法;本书中的连词包括(1)并列连词;(2)引导定语从句的关系代词和关系副词;(3)引导名词性从句的连词(that, if /whether)、连接代词与连接副词;(3) 引导状语从句的从属连词。连词也是高考语法填空的必考点,每年考1~3小题。 ;请做下列高考真题: 1. (2013) Go to the village and buy some salt, but pay a fair price for it: neither too much_______ too little. 思路点拨: nor 构成并列连词neither…nor。 ;2. (2013) Nick’s guests, ________ had heard their conversation, asked why they should not buy salt more cheaply if they could. 思路点拨:who 引导非限制性定语从句,并在从句中作主语,先行词是人(Nick’s guests),填who。 ;3. (2012) ________ he thought he could escape attention by sitting at the back, he was wrong. 思路点拨:If 因he thought…与he was wrong是两个句子,且两者之间没有连词,必定是填连词;根据两句之间的逻辑关系,应填表示条件的If。意为“要是他希望坐在后排就可以逃避老师的注意,那他就错了”。 ;4. (2012) Of course whenever they turned to look at him, they had to look at Mary, ________made her feel like a star. 思路点拨:which 引导非限制性定语从句并在从句中作主语,先行词是前面整个句子。 ;5. (2012) The new boy looked at the teacher for a few seconds and all the other students wondered ________the boy would do. 思路点拨:what 引导宾语从句并在从句中作do的宾语,故用连接代词。 ;6. (2011) Behind him were other people to _____ he was trying to talk… 思路点拨:whom 由talk to sb.可知,用to whom引导定语从句。 ;8. (2010) He filled his leather container so that he could bring some back to an elder ______had been his teacher. 思路点拨:who 引导定语从句并在从句中作主语,先行词是表示人的an elder,故用who。 ;9. (2010) We understand this lesson best ______ we receive gifts of love from children. 思路点拨:when 引导时间状语从句,表示“当……时”。 ;10. (2009) Jane paused in front of a counter _________some attractive ties were on display. 思路点拨:where 因两句之间没有连词,必定是填连词;后句是定语从句,???填的词在从句中作地点状语,故填关系副词where。 ;11. (2008) One day, he came up with an idea _________he would pluck up all of his crop a few inches. 思路点拨:that 引导同位语从句,说明idea的具体内容;从句的结构和意义完整,用that引导。 ;12.
