This system has functions to operate data and graphs of water distribution networks such as storage, enquiry, modification, displaying. The system makes it easier and simpler to access data and graphs for water supplying enterprises. Operating status of water supply networks can be accurately simulated based on the graphic information system. AutoCAD has powerful graphic functions. It provides various redeveloping tools and object oriented redeveloping packages. Developing software based on AutoCAD has characteristics of little investment and fast effect. In this thesis the object oriented package Object ARX of AutoCAD was used. Functions for operating graphs of water distribution networks were accomplished, for example: inputting, enquiry, erasing, modification, finding and so on. Interface between graphs and property database was achieved. Hydraulic balancing program and extended simulation program were connected with the system successfully. The
